Ms. Judith S. Kahamba (MA)


Ms. Judith S. Kahamba is Assistant Lecturer in the Development Studies Institute, at Sokoine university of Agriculture. She has a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics and Human Nutrition and Master of Art in Contemporary Development obtained from Beijing Normal University, China. Her expertise is in the fields of: Development theories; Governance; civil society development (Co-operatives); gender and qualitative research methods.
Courses taught:
  • Introduction to Principles and theories of Development Studies issues;
  • introduction to gender and development;
  • Cooperatives and Rural Development; and
  • Democracy and Governance.
Ms. Judith Has conducted/participated in various research activities. Her research areas of interest include; rural-urban transformation, gender issues, governance and leadership and poverty reduction interventions.
